If you are a first-year math grad student and have not passed
the comps yet, you must have the Graduate Chair's permission
not to enroll into this course.
If you are not a first-year math grad student,
you must have the instructor's permission to enroll into this course
(B+ in MAT 530 will do).
The textbook will be Warner's
Foundations of Differentiable Manifolds and Lie Groups;
you can probably get this book online for less than the bookstore
will be selling it for.
