Midterm II covers sections 5.5–5.7, 5.10, 6.1, 6.4 and part of 8.3 (Integral Test).
While the exam is not cumulative, and you will not be explicitly tested on topics from the first midterm, you are still responsible for the basics of series, as well as for the Calc I and Precalc material (functions, derivatives, antiderivatives, basic integration rules.) Similarly to the first exam, Midterm II will include a page with useful formulas (such as trig, for example). You can look at this reference page here. You have to memorize basic antiderivatives (such as sine, cosine, exponential, etc).

As usual, the best way to prepare for the test is to go over past homeworks. Non-bold questions are no less important than the bold ones. If a particular topic seems hard, do extra questions from the corresponding section in the book. If you want extra practice after you've thoroughly studied all homeworks, check out the following extra questions.

Chapter 5 p. 435-436: 14, 15, 25, 27, 28, 29, 55, 61; 5.6: 13, 25; 5.7: 2, 19; 5.10: 22, 42, 43;
Chapter 6 make sure to do questions from the last hw; pick some similar ones from 6.1 if you wish.

Midterm I covered sections 8.1-8.7 (with the exception of topics not studied in class). The best way to prepare for the test is to go over past homeworks. Non-bold questions are no less important than the bold ones. If a particular topic seems hard, do extra questions from the corresponding section in the book. Additionally, you can use the end-of-chapter questions for Chapters 8. Here are some extra practice questions for Midterm I:
8.1: 13, 15, 41;
8.2: 13, 19;
8.3: 9, 10;
8.4: 3, 4, 7, 25, 29;
8.5: 9, 13, 17 (please test the endpoints - you can do it now!);
8.6: 9, 10, 21, 22;
8.7: 19, 25, 43, 6;
End-of-Chapter exercises: 1-4, 9-12, 30-37, 39-41. The True-false quiz is also useful.
