Welcome to AMS 102
AMS 102 is a beginner's introduction to statistics, the study of data interpretation and analysis.
Statistical methods are universally applicable to a wide variety of scientific, business, industrial, and societal problems.
The course will discuss techniques used to avoid bias in data collection, discover patterns, make predictions,
and determine cause-effect relationships. We will not delve into the mathematical foundations of statistics; however,
you are expected to to be comfortable with high school–level mathematics
