Dr. Knapp,

I'm not sure if I have the correct address. I was trying to contact
someone regarding the Hermit Thrush songs on the following page:
http://www.math.sunysb.edu/~tony/birds/thrushes.html

I was wondering if it would be OK to include an external link on our
website (http://www.oneidaindiannation.com) to your Hermit Thrush
sound links. I am going to post one of our legends on how the Hermit
Thrush got its voice. I think it would really be nice to include
audio as well, with any credit you think is appropriate.

I look forward to hearing from you. If you are not the appropriate
person, please forward my question to the correct faculty and/or
staff member.

I appreciate your help.

Thanks much,

Alexia Conrad

Hi

I recorded those songs and analyzed some of them. You
have my permission to link or download them (for this
purpose) as you choose.

Best wishes,

Hello Tony,

The Swiss site www.vogelwarte.ch could be added to your
http://www.math.sunysb.edu/~tony/birds/links.html page.

It is a comprehensive site for birds in Switzerland, in German, French and
English, and as far as I can see has voice recordings for every species.

Regards,
Philip Payne

Hi Tony,

if I use them I will surely acknowledge your contribution.

My site is not comercial in the sense that I don't sell anything but
I want to be clear about the fact that I have one discrete google add
on the country landing page http://www.bird-songs.com/index.php  to
help paying for the server.

Please tell me if you find this a problem

By the way if you could me in your listing I would be very greatful

thanks

hans

            Hi,

really liked your site with bird sounds and
            songs.

I have one of my own (www.bird-songs.com) and
            I'm looking for sounds of
            uniquely american birds.
Are yours free for use ? Did you record these
            all yourself?

            regards
