Important information for Stony Brook participants: the exam will be given in two sessions
on Saturday, December 2, 2006 in P131 (math building).
A Session: 10:00 am - 1:00 pm B Session: 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm It is suggested that all contestants assemble at least 10 minutes prior to each session. Contestants are not permitted to bring any paper, books, slide rules, rulers, calculators, computers, etc., into the examination room. They should bring sharpened pencils (or pens) and erasers. Watches are helpful. The competition is open only to registered undergraduates who have not yet received a college degree. No student may participate in this competition more than four times. An eligible undergraduate who was not registered may participate as an individual contestant by using a set of exam materials for an absent student. The Practice Exercises list will be updated. Feel free to drop by 4-102 or 3-102 to discuss any Putnam problems or practice exercises, or to explain your solutions (which is always a good idea). |
