Text

Single Variable Calculus, Stony Brook Edition by James Stewart.

It's fine to use an earlier edition of the book, but the exercises may be numbered differently. Make sure you look at a copy of the Stony Brook edition to make sure you are doing the right problems.

Homework

There will we 10 homework assignments, one due at the beginning of each class starting July 19. The only way to learn calculus is by doing calculus, so it is important that you attempt every homework problem. Late homework will not be accepted.

I will put the assignments up on the schedule below; check back of updates.

Exams

There will be one midterm, during class on Monday, July 31, and a final exam during class on Monday, August 21. There will be no makeup exams. If a student misses the midterm due to unforeseeable circumstances beyond the student's control, then I will have the final exam count for the midterm.

Calculators are not allowed on exams.
