Text:  Elementary Linear Algebra, Applications Version, 8th edition, by Anton & Rorres, John Wiley & Sons Inc.

Calculators: No calculators will be needed in the exams and so are not allowed.

Internet Access: The web site http://www.math.sunysb.edu/~nie/mat211.html  will be maintained with up to date information concerning MAT 211. In particular, check there for homework assignments  and   announcements .

Examinations:  There will be one midterm and one final, scheduled as follows:
 
Midterm: Tuesday, July 30th
Final: Tuesday, August 20th

All exams will be in class. There could also be 2 or 3 quizzes, and the time will be announced in class.

Homework problems will be assigned each week, and they will be collected every Tuesday in class. Selected ones will be graded.

Math Learning Center is open Monday thru Thursday from 12 to 5 pm. You could go there for help.

Grading: Your final grade in MAT 211 will be determined by the following components.
 
Homework and quiz: 30%
Midterm: 30%
Final: 40%
