Math 118 Announcements

1/24/01 – Welcome to Math 118!

1/25/01 – Please look at the course syllabus (by clicking the “Course Information” button), and come to class having read the section(s) that I plan to cover each day.

2/23/01 – Midterm Exam #1 will be in class on Monday, March 5. Information about the exam (including a list of all topics and formulas which you will need to know) can be found here.

3/5/01 – BECAUSE OF THE WEATHER, THE MIDTERM EXAM WILL BE POSTPONED UNTIL FRIDAY, MARCH 9 (IN CLASS). If the University remains open, we WILL have class on Monday and Wednesday.

3/30 – Midterm Exam #2 will be in class on Wednesday, April 11. Information about the exam (including a list of all topics and formulas which you need to know) can be found here.

4/11 – Instead of having 9 quizzes and 10 homeworks (as the syllabus says), we will have 8 quizzes and 11 homeworks. The reasons for the change are (1) We missed a quiz because of rescheduling exam#1, (2) We need to have an eleventh homework to adequately cover the material on number theory.

4/18 – The Final exam will be Wednesday, May 16, 11:00am – 1:30pm, in our regular lecture room. For information about the content of the exam, click here.

5/7 – We are having the following office hours between the last day of class and the final exam. Please feel free to come to any of the TA’s office hours (not just your own TA’s):
