SUNY at Stony Brook MAT 200: Logic, Language, and Proof
Fall 2007

Welcome to MAT 200

This course offers an introduction to mathematical reasoning and proofs. It is intended as a bridge between the loose, heuristic approach often used to teach elementary calculus, and the precise, formal style needed for upper-division mathematics courses.

This course is taught in two mostly independent sections. This web site contains information about Lecture 1 (MW 3:50-5:10, Professor Kirillov). Information about Lecture 2 (TTh 11:20-12:40, Professor LeBrun) can be found here.
