Homework assignments

When an assignment is "due the week beginning ...", it means that it you must turn it in at the start of the recitation class of that week. The assignment numbers below refer to the course textbook. No credit will be given if you do problems from a different book or a different edition - it must be the Stony Brook University edition!

Even if you write down the correct answer, you must display your working to receive full marks! We assign both odd- and even-numbered questions, so feel free to check your anwers to the odd-numbered questions with the answers listed at the back of the book.
