Welcome to Calculus! MAT 126 is the second calculus course, where we will study integration and its real-world applications in physics, economics, biology, etc. The basic concepts of Calculus will be illustrated by numereous examples and supported by geometrical illustrations. Here is the contents in brief: indefinite and definite integrals, the Fundamental theorem of Calculus, integration techniques, numerical integration, improper integrals. Applications: arc length, area, volume; mass, moments and center of mass, hydrostatic pressure, work, flow; total revenue, consumer surplus; logistic and population models. Good luck! |
