    Preparation for Final:

The final is cumulative and consists of:

    Chapter 5: Sections 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4, 5.5, 5.6, 5.7 and 5.9.

    Chapter 6: Sections 6.1, 6.2 and 6.3.

As to Section 5.9, we do not need to memorize the formulas to estimate the errors of the various methods discussed in this section. The recommended preparation for the final is through the homeworks sheets and the two midterms. The list below contains the main topics for the exam (but it does not mean that the remainder topics are excluded).

1- Section 5.2: Riemann sums and their interpretations.

2- Evaluation of definite integrals by using Substitution Rule and Integration by Parts.

3- Sections 6.1 and 6.2 (Areas and Volumes).

At least 68% of the final is directly concerned with the three topics above.
