Summer 2003 Session I

About this course: Differential equations play a fundamental role in expressing physical laws as well as in predicting events in biological, economic, and other phenomena. This course is an introduction to the subject. Applications to other disciplines will be discussed, and the computer will be used as an essential tool in dealing with the mathematics involved.

The prerequisites for this course consist essentially of a working knowledge of Calculus and is also desirable to have some familiarity with the basics of Linear Algebra (Matrix Calculations).
