Summary: This course provides a comprehensive preparation for the regular calculus sequence, and includes an introduction to differential calculus. Trigonometric, exponential, and logarithmic functions are taught, as are asymptotes and limits.
Textbook: Robert Blitzer's Precalculus Essentials - Second Edition; And, MAT 123 Calculus Supplement
Course Structure: Coursework will be composed of weekly homeworks, biweekly quizzes, two midterms and a final. See the main course website for details.
Homework: Homework 1, do 4.3 and 4.4; Homework 2, do 4.5 and 4.6; Homework 3, do 4.7 and 5.5, Homework 4, do practice test 1; Homework 5, do 3.1, 3.2, 3.3
Midterm 1 will be on October 8th at 8:30pm in the Math building, room P-131. Get there promptly. You will have until 10:00pm.
Midterm 2 will be on November 11th at 8:30pm.
