A mathematician is a machine for turning coffee into theorems

-Paul Erdös

Yeah! You got it right. I love mathematics (this is more of a profession though), just as coffee; but I am yet to reach the divinity where one can convert one into the other. The drinks that can satiate me (other than music) are Scotch whisky and Vodka.

As you have already guessed, it is really difficult for me to state my passions without any reference of music. So we have come to music. I listen to North Indian Classical music religiously! (By the way I tried to learn some violin but if you love yourself don't ask me to play for you.). Off late I am playing little of synthesizer too. Other than classical music, Rabindrasangeet is something that I can not imagine to live without. But this list will not be complete if I forget to mention the name Suman Chattopadhyay (oops, I mean Kabir Suman) who for the first time corrected the bengali songs politically.

Listening to Suman’s song is not only an experience of floating in great musical harmony; it is also the lyrics that express our unuttered love, pain and anguish. Suman is not the only one, whose writings give me solace, there are many more. Rabindranath, Jibanananda, Joy, Shankha Ghosh and
Shakti are few names without whom my existence would be a pallid one.

You will know about my other interest if you have enough time to follow the links.
