Trip to Jessie's Place
On 22nd May 2004, we (Karen, Sunny, Yusuf, me and my wife Jiwon) visited Jessie's place to see her newborn baby.
Sadly, on the way, I realized that I forgot to recharge my camera, so the battery was really low. I wish I could take more pictures, but anyway, here are the pictures I took that day. You may click on any of the pictures to see a bigger version.
This is Nicole!
She's 5 1/2 week old and according to Jessie, quite tall for her age. She's staring at the camera (or me?). The room was full of baby stuff (balloons and dolls. There was a pair of really cute shoes for her, which Karen liked so much.)
Jean is holding Nicole and Jessie is talking about how hard it was when she went into labor.
Well, the red thing on the bottom of the picture are watermelons. We got served with lots of chips and fruits (and beer).
Jiwon is smiling with the baby.
We took a picture so that some day when Nicole grows up, we can show her the proof of our visit.
Here is my suggestion for the title of the picture: "The Three Wise Men and Two Ladies from the East".(Queens is west, you know.) Jiwon wants me to say "Two Beautiful Ladies".
Jessie's mother was there to help babysitting - but no picture, sorry, due to the batteries ...er....
Jean and Jessie took us to a nice Korean restaurant in Queens, Kumkangsan. The place also served Japanese, and that was part of the reason that Jessie took us there because Yusuf wanted to have Japanese. But when we got there, Yusuf got persuaded to have Korean food.
According to the picture, I guess Yusuf liked it. Karen and Sunny also got to try new food too (therefore the unfamiliar look.. hehe.)
The whole dinner was on Jean. Here are the guys happy with stomach full.
Thanks for the dinner Jean and Jessie!
