OPTIONAL HOMEWORK #10 !!!

Some people have been coming to me since I am not accepting late homeworks.

I am aware of the people who registered late and therefore could not do the first homework.

So in favor of all of you who have so much reasons for not being able to get a good homework

score, I am assigning HW#10. YOU DO NOT NEED TO DO THIS HOMEWORK IF YOU ALREADY HAVE

GIVEN ME 7 or MORE HOMEWORKS AND GOT SATISFYING SCORE. (Since I am personnally grading this

I hope that not a lot of you will hand in #10.)

Quiz #2 Solution

Quiz #3 Solution

Quiz #4 Solution

Note for the special assignment #1

For the people who scored low on the first quiz, they may turn in quadratic inequality practice sheet handed out during the class.
Each sheet will worth 5 points. This is due 19th, on the day of the exam. Here is some simple ways to do this assignment.

Note for the special assignment #2

This will be the last time I am assigning special assignment to compensate quiz scores!

Assignment #2 has two different type of sheets. Each sheet will add 5 points quiz#2, but you must hand in even number

of pages - that is, equal number of each types.

Instruction for doing this assignment is here.

Homework format:

This is to help the graders who are helping you!

1. No front cover.

2. Name should be on the upper left side. First name first, last name last.

   Ex) Daniel An

Do not abbreviate. Including middle name or initial is fine, but first and last name

   is a must.

3. Letter sized papers only (Loose leaf, letter sized copier paper etc.)

4. Staple upper left corner.

5. Do NOT use graph paper to sketch graphs.

As you can see, these are not hard things to follow. (Except possibly that you

forgot to bring your stapler maybe. In that case, I will bring a small stapler to class.)

I will only accept homeworks done in this format.

Homeworks should be turned in by the end of the class on the due date.

Late homeworks will not be accepted.

Since these rules are strict, to compensate it, I will drop 2 lowest score homeworks

when calculating the mean score for homework. (so if you fail to turn in 2 homeworks

it won't affect your grade that much.)

Total of 9 homeworks are expected to be assigned.

Since the odd numbered answers are on the back of the book, there is no point

in writing down just the answers. You are required to show all your work including

the setup (and short explanations if possible) to get full credit.

Check often. This Homework is subject to change
