MAT 211
Introduction to
Linear Algebra

MAT 211 provides a basic, self-contained introduction to linear algebra and its applications. This subject-matter is now an essential tool throughout mathematics, the sciences, and enginnering.

Topics covered will include:

Textbook: Anton and Rorres,
Elementary Linear Algebra
(Applications Version),

Wiley, 8th Edition, 2000,
ISBN 0-471-17052-6.

The $124 version offered by the bookstore comes shrink-wrapped together with the eGrade Student Learning Guide, which includes an access code which is needed to do the required web-homework assignments.

However, you are free to purchase a cheaper, used copy of the textbook from any source, and then buy the eGrade Guide (ISBN 0-471-22628-9) separately. We believe the bookstore is selling these for about $20. If the bookstore seems to be out of the guides, ask to speak to Eric Olivieri, who may have access to a supply of copies which are not out on the shelves; this information may be out of date however.
