Applying to the Secondary Teacher Option Masters program
To apply to the STO program, you need to fill out an application form and include the following material:
- A statement of purpose, describing your background and interests
- Official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended
- At least three recommendation letters; this is the most important part of your application
- Application fee (currently $60)
Applications must be submitted online at
app.applyyourself.com/?id=sunysb-gs.
(In the "Specialization" area write Secondary Teaching Option,
and check Part-time Study).

Enrollment in the STO program can start in the Fall, Spring or Summer
semester. The relevant application deadlines are:
for Fall admission, May 5
for Spring admission, November 15
for Summer admission, March 15.
