POST-DOCTORAL POSITION
in the
STONY BROOK RTG PROGRAM
in
GEOMETRY and PHYSICS

Stony Brook announced a three-year post-doctoral position associated with the new RTG Program in Geometry and Physics, beginning in Fall of 2006. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents. The fellowship provides salary for the academic year, a summer stipend, and a travel and computer allowance.

RTG Fellows are expected to participate in a new training program which brings together core mathematical research with models and modes of thinking arising in theoretical physics. Duties will involve mentoring graduate and undergraduate students, involvement in RTG seminars and related workshops, and teaching in RTG graduate courses.

Applicants can indicate interest in the RTG Position in the covering letter of the standard application for junior faculty appointments. Consideration for an RTG Fellowship does not rule out consideration for other positions available at the Stony Brook Mathematics Department.
