Fun Stuff
- The Math Club
of SUNY Stony Brook meets almost every Wednesday at 7 PM in P-131,
Math Tower. Meetings usually feature a scientist giving a short, informal
and accessible talk on a topic of general interest.
- Cool Links
from the Stony Brook Math CD Project take you to
the Prime Page, Knots on the Web, Euclid's Elements and
other math sites, simple and multimedia, on and off campus.
- The Problem of the Month is
a monthly competition with a first prize of $25, open to Stony
Brook undergraduates.
- What's New in Mathematics
is a general-interest page on the American Mathematical Society site.
The "Math in the Media" portion is maintained by Tony Phillips, a
professor in our department.
