The nearest airport is Long Island MacArthur, located in Islip, NY.  As Islip is primarily served by Southwest Airlines, however, some participants may instead choose to use one of New York City's major airports for reason of price or flight schedule.  Among these airports, New York JFK has the advantage that it offers a connection to the Long Island Railroad (LIRR) via the AirTrain from all terminals to Jamaica station; the Stony Brook campus can then be reached from Jamaica by taking a train bound for Stony Brook. The Stony Brook station is on the Port Jefferson branch.  Flying through New York Laguardia is also possible, but flying through Laguardia would require renting a car or booking a limo. On the other hand, Newark Airport is probably not a reasonable option, because it is located on the far side of New York City. If you do choose to use Newark Airport, details for taking the train from the Airport to Penn Station can be found here. Once at Penn Station you can take the LIRR to the Stony Brook station.

Information regarding visiting the Stony Brook campus and the surrounding area can be found here. If you are taking the LIRR to the Stony Brook station, walking directions to the Simons Center (adjacent to the Mathematics Tower) are available here.

Banquet

A banquet will be held on Saturday, April 12th, at the Simons Center Café.

Please indicate on the registration form if you would like to attend the banquet.
