| Computer Access during the Workshop | |||||
In Room S-235 of the Mathematics Building (across the hall from S-240), there are several computers (Sun workstations) which you may use during the Workshop. The room will be open during regular hours, starting at 10:00 am to 5:00pm You can create an account for yourself in any one of them. The account will be kept till August 15, and then deleted. These machines do not have any network restrictions; you can connect directly to wherever you like. To create an account on the Sun's, at the login window select Command Line Login in the Options menu. Login in with userid new, hit return for the password. You will be asked several questions, including your name, Soc. Security #. When asked for the course you registered for, respond with strings. Within 5 minutes or less after answering all the questions, your account will be created, with the login & password you requested. |
