  1. Mark Pollicott, University of Manchester Decay of correlations and counting problems in hyperbolic systems
  2. Nandor Simanyi, Hungarian Academy of Sciences Ergodicity in hard ball models
  3. Sebastian van Strien, Warwick University Recent progress in complex dynamics

The Midrasha will be part of the special year in dynamical systems at the Institute. Experts in the field visiting the Institute include H. Furstenberg, E. Glasner, Y. Katznelson, Y.Kifer, G.Levin, R. Lyons, S. Mozes, Y. Peres, D. Rudolph, A. Vershik, B. Weiss. Some of them will give talks in the Midrasha. Advanced graduate students and research mathematicians in dynamical systems are welcome to attend. Registration fees: $50. Limited support for local expenses will be available.
