The Math Learning Center at Stony Brook provides various resources for
the math student. We offer one-on-one tutoring in mathematical courses,
class material for such courses, textbooks, and even interactive CD-ROM
programs. Our tutoring service is free of charge, and students may request
books with a valid Stony Brook University Identification Card.
Our quest is to create the right environment for our students and staff
so that any difficulties may be resolved in such a way that is
complete and fun at the same time. Students are more than welcome
to drop in with any questions or concerns that may be troubling them.
What is especially great about us is that we do not require that you make an
appointment or schedule to meet with a tutor; we have an open environment for
everyone seeking assistance.
We have four computers in the
center, not only allowing students access to the internet but to
Maple and
Mathlab mathematical software at their convenience.
